Lib. Dem. Councillor
Quentin Dodd (Newbrighton)
takes
the Chair at Flintshire County Council.
After several years of being
excluded from most positions of responsibility at Flintshire County
Council, the recent election victory for Liberal Democrats,
Independents and Conservatives has put an end to years
of Labour control. The
new coalition has ensured a fairer allocation of County Council posts
across the parties.
Lib Dems have
two Councillors serving on the Council's Executive: Neville Phillips
(Buckley Bistre West) is Executive Member for Corporate Governance
& Strategy; whilst Nancy Matthews (Gwernymynydd) is Executive
Member for Waste Strategy & Management.
